What is glamping?

Camping equals dirt, bugs, and stuffy tents. And yes, it has beautiful scenery, fresh air, and the great outdoors going for it… but it’s mostly marred by the bugs and stuffy tents thing. However, we have hope for all the non-campers out there. Enter glamping… going from roughing it to loving it!

Glamping, or glamorous camping, is where nature meets luxury. It has the best of both worlds – well-deserved time off in nature but with all the luxuries from home. It’s luxurious, posh, and even Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama have glamping on their to-do list! So, if you love nature but you don’t love the downsides of it, glamping is definitely for you.

The great thing about glamping is that you can pitch up without having to pitch up. No more sleeping bags, blow-up mattresses or dodgy-looking showers… only comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen (and a dishwasher!), and beautiful, clean bathrooms. At Koesterfontein Glamping Farm, we strive to give you the above-mentioned and much more.

Koesterfontein Glamping Farm is an 8-hectare farm located 10km from Magaliesburg in Gauteng, South Africa. The farm used to be a bee farm and was then converted into a glamping farm. It offers a self-catering glamping tent, rock cave house, and a gorgeous farmhouse with stunning views of the Magaliesberg mountain range.

Koesterfontein Glamping Farm guests also have access to a splash pool, braai facilities (just to keep the camping part of glamping alive), a fireplace, and breath-taking sunsets. More adventurous guests can also hike up the small hill on the farm, do bird watching or go for a bike ride.

The farm has a peaceful atmosphere and can accommodate up to 10 guests. It is ideal for two families to enjoy a wonderful weekend together. Book today to recuperate in style while still being surrounded by Mother Nature.
